Garden School News - Week of April 3-7

Posted:
Sunday April 2

This upcoming week we have all six of our Primary classes, from grade 1-3 participating in a pottery workshop. Toronto potter; Paul Steward is returning to Garden for 3 full days. The students will hand-throw a piece of art with clay, the pieces will then be bisque fired. Thank you to our wonderful School Council for generously sponsoring fifty percent of the cost of the workshops.

International Day of Pink is fast approaching. As always we will show our Garden support of this day by all wearing pink shirts. Please let me know in the office if you would be interested in ordering a pink Garden shirt in time for April 12. If we have enough interest we will once again open up the Garden T-shirt website for ordering.

Either this past week or early next week you will be receiving the TDSB Parent Census. This census is voluntary however the data collected from the census helps to provide the school system, parents and the community with valuable information to help improve our schools for the benefit of all our students. If you do not receive your parent census please speak to your child’s classroom teacher or speak to us in the office. Students from grade 4- 6 will also be filling out a Student Census however this brief census will be conducted during class time. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask in the office.
