Garden Avenue Jr. Public School has been participating in an school traffic management study, together with the TDSB, City of Toronto and Green Communities Canada. The goal of the study is to increase the number of students who arrive at school on foot, by bike or by scooter, and to make drop-off and pick-up safer for any students arriving by car. The group has been studying walking routes, traffic patterns, parking availability, and facilities for bikes and scooters, and will make recommendations and plans of action in the coming weeks.
Mark Wednesday, February 7 in your calendars as Walk to School Day - we're hoping to get as many students as possible using their own two feet to get to school!
