The first annual Mental Health and Well-Being Parent Symposium, “Parents as Partners - Taking Action Together” will take place at Earl Haig Secondary School (100 Princess Avenue) on May 9 , from 8:30 am to 2:45 pm.

As adults, we wear a great number of hats in our personal life, work life, and home life. All this contributes to a feeling of burnout. This hurried lifestyle is being modeled for our children and unless WE slow down, our children will incorporate it into THEIR adult lifestyle.

A free conference, planned jointly by SEAC (Special Education Advisory Committee) and the TDSB Parent Involvement Advisory Committee called “Empowering Families Through Knowledge and Networking” is taking place on Saturday, March 28 at Earl Haig Secondary School. The next Garden School Council meeting is on Thursday 26 February 6:30 p.m. in the Teacher’s Lounge (2nd Floor). A draft agenda is available. There may be a post meeting social at Lambretta Pizzeria and Wine Bar. If you require childcare for the meeting please contact Heather Johnston.

The TDSB is holding a special meeting of the Board to allow the public to respond to the Wilson Report: Review of the Toronto District School Board (PDF, 875 KB). As a pilot project, the Board will be webcasting the public session of the meeting.
